A fun little DIY Valentine Mesh Wreath that will to direct cupid to your front door. Here is all you need:
Heart-shaped work wreath
1 Roll red deco mesh (21" width)
1 Roll pink deco mesh (10" width)
1 Roll 1 1/2" ribbon (zebra print)
Valentine glitter picks
Cardboard heart-shaped hang-up
Let's get started. Start on the inside, at the top cent of the heart-shaped work wreath. Attached the red mesh using the tinsel sprigs on the wreath.
Continue around the inside adding mesh. Because the tinsel sprigs don't align with the points in the top center and the point at the bottom, use floral wire to secure mesh in these places. This will help maintain the heart shape.
When you have completed the inside move to the outside and repeat the process.
Next add the pink mesh. Roll out the mesh and cut 12 inch pieces. You will need enough pieces to add one at every point you attached the red mesh. This includes the places you used floral wire.
Take the piece of mesh, roll it up and pinch it in the middle.
Place the rolled mesh over the top of the red mesh and twist the tinsel sprig around the middle of the rolled mesh. In the spots the red mesh is attached with floral wire, you will need to secure the rolled pink mesh with floral wire.
It's looking good, but now let's ad the ribbon. Cut 12 inch pieces of ribbon. You will need the same number of ribbon pieces as you cut of the pink rolled pieces.
I like to chevron the ends of my ribbon pieces.
Pinch the ribbon piece in the middle and attach one piece of each of the rolled pink pieces of mesh.
Adding this light weight cardboard heart is simple. Just thread the string, that is already attached to the heart, down through the mesh and tie it around the wreath frame.
Insert the glittery stems down through the mesh and wrap the wired stem sound the wreath frame on the back side.
Share the love this Valentine's Day with a frilly DIY Mesh Wreath.
